I Missed My Fav Cricut Cart

Your Smile Pinwheel Card
It has been a bit since I last used my favorite Cricut Cart "Create A Critter". I love this cart for soo many reasons. One being, it has alot of cute animals and critters. The other, is that it has a lot of other cuts to use as well. I don't know what it was, but since the first time I used this cart, I fell, "HEAD Over Heels" for it!!! And sure enough it will be a cart that I will use time and time again. Here is a glimpse of the card I made with this so loving cart that I cannot stop gushing over:

Even though, I did not cut an animal or critter, still enjoyed playing with the Create A Critter cart.
I hope you leave a comment and let me know what you think of this card. I am thinking of putting some of my creations up for sale. So I would love some input or other recommendations on adding or taking something off of it. I really do appreciate your input.

Christmas In July Challenge # 4

Christmas Tree Theme
As Mary from Cardz TV said, this is the last Christmas in July Challenge. I did not have many carts with Christmas trees, that I wanted to work with. I wanted to do a different tree, so I decided to use swirl designs to create it. The best cart I could find in my stash was, Cake Basics. Blog on over to the rest of the creations everyone entered for this last challenge, Cardz TV. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and made some time to create and be crafty. Here is a glimpse of the card I created with this challenge.

Throwback Thursday Challenge #8

Best Wishes Cupcake Set
Once again, Emma at My Creative Time, made this challenge so fun to create. The theme was a "Birthday Theme". She wanted for the cart to be "Celebrations", but I did not have that one. I used "Cake Basics" on page 52, Cupcake. For the Cupcake Box, I usually bake a jumbo Cupcake. But, for this challenge I wanted to use a paper made one. Besides paper, the inside of the cupcake is stuffed with fusing web and cotton balls. I also made a tag so I can tie around the cello baggie when I cover the cupcake and box. For the card, I put dimensional pop dots for the cupcake to stand out from the background. Flower brads were added next to the sentiment to finish it off. Hope you have a chance to blog on over to the rest of the fabulous creations everyone has entered for this challenge. My Creative Time
Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!!!

Tuesday Challenge

Gift Boxes and Coordinating Cards

Birthdays are in abundance in my family during the Summer time. It has been a couple of years already that I have been sending gifts with boxes or bags made by me. I made these boxes for two favorite gals in my life; my Sister and My Sister-in- Law. Which their birthdays are one day apart. Funny thing is, sometimes the wrappings or boxes are a bigger hit than the actual gift itself. I entered these on Made by Momo Tuesday Challenge. And the theme is "Girly Affair". The gift box is 6" x 6" and the card is 3 1/2" x  3 1/2". Here are some pics of the gift boxes and coordinating cards that I worked on.

Tuesday Challenge @ Made By Momo

"LOVE" Theme
Wow.. this challenge was not hard at all to participate in. First, I thought about my family. Ok, well all my pages in our scrapbooks show how much my family mean to me . They also signify how much I love them. Then, I thought ok, it has been way way too long since I last did a scrap page of my husband. I wanted to describe what love means to him through this page. Seriously, at this time in his life, he lives and breathes by this motto described on it. He does not know what I am up to with this challenge and his pictures. So, I hope he likes it because he is very involved with every creation and project that I do. Involved as in... he always lets me know what he thinks about it. Even though, he is ALWAYS working, I manage to send him a pic or two of what I create. So, this is for you Sweetie and the rest of the time you have left to live by this motto. I love you! (wink)
Here are some shots I took of my project:

Likin' it better this way.

Throwback Thursday Challenge Ep. #60

2 Of A Kind

Here is an 8x8 LO I made with the inspiration of my two Westie Dogs. Emma at My Creative Time asked to use an "Animal" theme for this challenge. I did not have the cart she requested to use. So, I used Create A Critter Cartridge. It has been a couple of years since I did a Scrap Page. Create A Critter has become my fav cart for the moment, so it was not hard to think what type of layout I wanted to do. Thanks Emma, once again you have made this challenge way too fun to work with! Tomorrow, I will post pics of a card I made with the inspiration of this LO. I hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday before the week starts over. Here is a glimpse of my two fav fur babies:

Christmas In July Card Challenge #2

Snow Kitty Fun
This card was created for the Cardz TV blog Challenge #2. The colors that I used with this card were different from what I am used to working with for Christmas or Winter. Funny thing is Mary from Cardz TV is really getting me out of my comfort zone with these Christmas Card Callenges. Don't get me wrong, I am having a blast looking for and using colors that are so fun for me! I decided to put the sentiment inside my card because I did not want for it to look too crowded. This time I did not include a pic of the sentiment. But, this is what it says," Wishing you a Snow Kitty fun day!"
Once again Mary, THANK YOUfor hosting these fun challenges! I hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend.

Christmas in July Challenge #1 Inspiration

Cupcake Card

Mary from Cardz TV had a Christams in July Challenge on her blog. I did not enter my card for that challenge because I did not make it a Christmas theme. But, I did decide to use the colors she asked for as inspiration for my card. I very much enjoyed using black as my background and cupcake silhouette colors! The "You're the lil' CUP on my CAKE" sentiment I decided to use it for the inside of the card. I hope it is not too corny of a sentiment. And if it is, please let me know. Thanks Mary... for sharing this challenge with everyone. Here is a glimpse of my cupcake card:

Supplies Used:
Cricut Expression
Cake Basics Cartridge
Cardstock:
Value Pack (The Paper Company, black, red, and white)
DCWV (two shades of pink, black, and lime green)
Martha Stewart Punch
Sentiment:
Rosy's Noodles (tee hee)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #31

Independence Wreath...

My front door was the inspiration for this challenge. I love the color of our front door and thought I could use the same color for my card. I did not think I was going to be able to make a wreath this small, with the Cricut carts. But, it worked out fine to where it cut the size I needed. The Cricut Cardz Challenge blog asked for a 4th of July card and what better way to use my brand new carts: Stand and Salute & Independence Day with. I hope evryone had a safe and wonderful time with family and friends, this holiday. Here is a glimpse of what I created with this challenge:

Supplies Used:

Cricut Expression
Cake Basics Cartridge
Stand & Salute Cartridge
Independence Day Cartridge
Cardstock:
Value Pack(The Paper Company)
Bazzil Basic Paper (Dotted Swiss)
