MCT's Scrapping The Little Things

Happy Mother's Day Scrap Page...

Good Morning Crafty Friends! I hope All you Moms out there had a Fabby Mother's Day! I had breakfast in bed, compliments of my kids and nephew. My tray had cereal, toast, and Cappucino. Also, there was a cute handmade card and some roses cut from my rose garden. The day was just perfect hanging out with my family. Alrighty, lets get to Scrapping the Little Things project for today. Since, Mother's Day was just yesterday, I wanted to have a page ready for a picture of my Mom taken on that day. Here is some shots of my scrap page:

All of the cuts were made with the Cricut Expression and Gypsy. The Scrap Page measures 8" x 8". This was the first time I used the Suburbia Cricut Cart. Lots of fun and retro images on it.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see today's post. Remember, head on over to My Creative Time to take a look at the other Design Team Member projects.

Emma's (MCT) Birthday Bash and Blog Hop

Flower Shaped Birthday Card...

Good Morning All! Happy Friday and also Happy Happy Birthday to Emma from My Creative Time! I would like to wish her a very fun and special day! Emma is celebrating her special day by having a Birthday Bash/ Blog Hop, Sale, and a cute and fabulous Free Stamp Set (with minimum purchase).
If you are hoppin' from Nikki's Blog, Scrappin' Navy Wife, then you are where you need to be... My Bloggy Blog... Sweet Delighs Paper & More!

For my Birthday Bash project, I created a flower shaped card using the Cricut Expression and my Gypsy Girl ( Susie G.). It has been a long while since I used my Cricut, Carts , and Gypsy Girl.
Here are some shots of my Card:

I created the shaped card with Susie G. (Gypsy) and Elegant Edges Cart. Welded two flower shapes, cut it for the card base. Cut another flower shape in kraft color cardstock as well for the front background and adhered to the card base. Cut the top layer in Recollections printed cardstock. Distressed the edges of the top layer with Cat Eye fluid chalk (yellow). Before adhering it to the Card. Used white gel pen to create faux stitching along the kraft cardstock.

The sentiment circle was punched a bit smaller than the flower center and popped up with foam dots for dimension. The cute Sentiment is from the It's All About You Stamp Set. Adhered a simple bow and Die Cut Butterfly from the Chunky Jar Accessories Die Set. Added some Stickles on the Butterfly for a shimmery look.

The inside of the card was finished off with the left over scraps. Cut a circle and distressed it the same way as the front layer. Stitched edges with white gel pen. The flower petals are the leftover petals from the front top layer and punched a circle for the center of the flower.

These pics really don't do this Card justice. Way more Cuter in Person. Well, as always thanks for joining me and the rest of the Design Team! Make sure to comment here for a chance to Win an Amazing Prize thanks to Sweet Emma. Be sure to leave here a super sweet birthday wish!

MCT's 3-D Wednesday

Missing You Mini Vase...

Happy Happy Wednesday Crafty Peeps! I hope your week has been crafty and productive so far. As for My Creative Time and Design Team Members, we have been having a Blast, playing with everything from the 24th edition release. I cannot wait until all of you start playing with the new stamps and dies too! Ok, for today's project we are to create a project other than a layout or card. I love... love... love 3-D Wednesdays because it gives me a chance to create home decor or gifts for my loved ones and friends. I try to use any recycled objects I have put away for a special creation. For today, I used a pyrex test tube ($.25) that I purchased at a huge flea market here in South Texas. Here are some shots of my project:

My Mom likes to collect different mini vases to put flowers next to My Dad's Urn. So, when I saw these Pyrex test tubes, I knew exactly what I wanted to create with them.

I added clear marbles in the tubes for dimension and to somewhat hide the flower stem.

I loved how I distressed the sentiment and tag. I wanted an aged look to it. The heart charm gives the tag an antique look also. A simple yet bright color bow was tied around the tube.

I used a styrofoam circle for the base. Covered it with faux wood grain pattern paper. Distressed the edges with brown fluid chalk. Used an Xacto knife to cut a circle for the tube to fit in the center. Adhered it with hot glue. Die cut some beautiful Butterflies with different scraps of pattern paper.

This beautiful Rose came from one of my rose bushes. It was another Inspiration for my project today. I love...love...love bringing my garden indoors. It reminds me of why I LOVE being outdoors during Spring.

I will be showcasing the "You're So Brilliant" Stamp and Die Set. Here are some snapshots of my Project:

I purchased a set of journals last month with a plan to create an "IDEA" Craft Journal. Since, it had a black, white, and grey color theme, it was perfect to add some vibrant yellow color to it.

I love love love the light bulb die! It is so cute and can be used in so many different crafty themes. I used the "Vintage Stitched Label" Die Set in white and another in black for light bulb background. Adhered bright yellow half beads on each end of the label. For the bulb, I used a color swatch paper from paint color swatches you find at paint stores. for the bottom of the bulb pieces, painted the pieces silver with a sharpie marker. Bright Yellow Ribbon was used to embellish and to be used as a bookmark as well.

The banner from the "Vintage Stitched Label" Die Set and sentiment stamped in black Ranger ink.

Same technique was done as the banner from above.

Good Morning All and Happy Wednesday! I truly hope all of you are enjoying all the crafty inspiration that My Creative Time and Design Team Members are showcasing all week. Before the huge April  Stamp and Dies Release on Friday. For today, some of us Design Team members, will be showcasing "Life Is Good" Stamp Set. Along, with "Stitched Mini Frame" and "Stitched Capture Frame and Arrow Dies". For my project today, I chose to use "Life Is Good" Stamp Set and "Stitched Capture Frame" Die. Here are shots of my 4x6 decor frame:

This week's tradegy in the Boston Marathon was a Huge Inspiration for my project.

I used Stickles in different colors to add dimension and shimmer to the die cuts.

I love this Sentiment! It can be used in so many different projects. Especially, for gifts or cards when giving to a loved one or dear friend.

If you have not purchased any of My Creative Time Dies before, Let me tell you, that the stitching around the dies is so detailed that makes the cut stand out even more. If you have purchased dies from My Creative Time you will definately agree with me.

Well, that is it for now. I hope you all liked my project for today. Don't forget to stop by My Creative Time to view more inspirational and great projects from the rest of the DT.
